VoiceNova is a voice recorder built around one promise: the audio you capture never leaves your device unless you send it somewhere yourself. No account. No sign-up. No cloud backup running quietly in the background. There is no upload feature in the app at all — not disabled, not optional, simply not there.

Everything else is built to stay out of your way.


RECORD WITHOUT THINKING ABOUT IT

Open the app and tap once. A live waveform shows you sound is actually reaching the microphone, so you are never left wondering whether it is working.

LISTEN AND TRIM

• Waveform view so you can see where the quiet parts are
• Scrub to any point
• Playback speed from 0.5× to 2×
• Skip forward and back by an interval you choose
• Trim the start and end, then save as a new recording or replace the original

Trimming is exact to within about a frame of audio, and the original is never overwritten unless you explicitly ask for it.


CHOOSE YOUR QUALITY

Four presets, and the app tells you what each one actually costs in storage per hour rather than making you guess. Recordings are saved as M4A / AAC, which plays on essentially anything.


BUILT FOR PRIVACY, NOT MARKETED AT IT

• Microphone is the only sensitive permission requested — and only when you first record, not on launch
• No contacts, no location, no call state, no access to your other files
• Recordings are stored in the app's own private storage
• Nothing is uploaded, analysed, or sent for transcription
• A recording leaves only through the share sheet, when you choose it

VoiceNova is ad-supported. Ads are provided by Google AdMob, which may use your advertising ID — it never receives your recordings or anything about them. No ad is ever shown while a recording is in progress, and there are no ads on the controls you use to record, play or stop.

One thing worth knowing before you install: because recordings live in the app's private storage, uninstalling VoiceNova deletes them. Share or export anything you want to keep first. We would rather tell you that up front than have you find out afterwards.
